Assisted Living

Personalized care to meet the unique needs of each senior.

Assisted Living

A senior woman with short white hair embraces the arm of a young woman wearing scrubs in a kitchen.

Assisted living combines the comforts of a personal care home with additional skilled health care services, ensuring residents can stay as their healthcare needs evolve. The goal is to prevent the necessity of relocating to another senior living community as care requirements increase.

Assisted living facilities are categorized into two types: Type A and Type B, each offering distinct living arrangements and levels of care.

Type A Facilities

Require residents to be capable of evacuating the building within 12 minutes in case of an emergency. They typically prefer residents who can independently move or follow directions, and may require relocation if a resident becomes bed-bound and unable to evacuate.

Type B Facilities

Provide more intensive care, where staff assist residents during emergencies. This type allows residents to age in place, accommodating their needs until the end of life.

Assisted Living

Choosing the right type of assisted living facility depends on the individual's current health status and anticipated future needs. They offer compassionate care in both Type A and Type B settings, ensuring residents receive personalized attention that evolves with their health.
